Last year 90% of tickets were sold so no-one missed out. There was a splendid selection of wines and beer to sample, and the volunteer kitchen kept everyone satisfied with delectable delights. Our Security team managed the grounds to ensure patrons/guests were comfortable and enjoyed the event.
Thanks to all other volunteers – the reason that we can have success in this event as a fundraiser for the Galiano Health Care Clinic is that almost all work is done by a hard-working team of local volunteers.

It’s a fun event for a worthwhile cause – to raise the money needed to keep the Galiano Island Health Care Centre up to date and serving the community. The event is a pleasant 20 minute walk from the ferry and the Village, to the Community Lions Park.
Informal and joyful, the wine and beer festival is an open-air event that is a wonderful way to spend a summer afternoon. And at $45 a ticket, it is great value! The price of entrance includes unlimited tasting, a crested Riedel crystal wine glass & a beer glass (yes, two glasses included this year!), fresh-made finger food, and entertainment. We also have Galiano artists exhibiting and selling their original work. There’s room to move around, no long waits for the wines and beers/ales you want to taste, plenty of time to talk with the wine merchants, wine makers and beer makers as well as hanging out with your old and new friends.
All the wines offered for sampling are affordable, including many wonderful British Columbia boutique wines found at Vintages Wine Shop in the Galiano Oceanfton Inn & Spa, The Corner Store (just 3 km from the Village) or the Galiano Garage, near the ferry terminal. Beers is sold at the Corner Store and the Galiano Garage.
For the first time our 2016 liquor license will allow for a pop-up store onsite so that patrons can purchase product(s) as they leave the festival site. Consider planning ahead to serve a quality wine, beer or cider with your friends at home. Always in moderation of course.

Also part of the Festival experience is a wide array of finger food to enjoy; a Silent Auction and a 50/50 Draw, as well as a selection of books and gifts related to the wine festival.
Note: Due to our liquor license restrictions, minors are not allowed on the site. Note, pets are not permitted on the site.
Note that our 2013 & 2014 Festivals sold out prior to the event! Purchase tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
Saturday morning (at the Festival venue) the Lion’s Pancake Breakfast – starts at 9am; and the Farmer’s Market – starts at 10am…so plenty to do before the festival starts at 1pm.
